Leo Season is upon us.

It's me, I'm in the Leo.

On this episode of BASHHTV.

We are moving right along and I'm truly looking forward to classes starting next year. This week, students were sent their supply lists, me and Kristin worked more on the schedule, and teachers are locking in to create classes that I dreamed about in herb school. I AM EXCITED.

It is not too late to enroll. Circumstances change, so seats have opened up in Clinical and Pre-Clinical is also an option. This is the last month to get 16 month payment plans for our Clinical program.

Study Herbalism at a Black School

BASHH has it's own channels on Instagram and Threads, @xbashhx. If you want to stay connected with me, you can still follow @donettesaid on Instagram and Threads.

You can always be a part of our story. Consider contributing to our fund today. Black schools need support.

Support BASHH's Fund

Our fund is still stagnant, but if I'm being honest...I kind of expected to be. The folks who care about Black healing and the next generation of healers are the same people who are systemically oppressed. This is where action-based allyship comes into play. Send this to your friends!

I'm determined to get at least one scholarship for a student who wants to come to BASHH. Currently, I'm taking workshops and calling friends about how to apply for grants. So far, so good. I'll keep you posted on that.

Ways to Support

Talk About BASHH

Share with your networks. Mention our name when someone tells you they want to learn herbalism. You don't have to be an herbalist to do it: you just have to care about Black wellness and healing. Share the link, blackalchemy.school.

Contribute and Then Share That You Did.

Every single contribution counts, no matter how much it is. Contributions directly translate to scholarships, increased teacher compensation, and operating expenses. Even if you can't, still share the link. Those funds make sure we can get the school rolling with ease.

Infrequent Newsletter September 14, 2026 Who are you in the world and how does that influence your work? Positionality is a new term I learned in founding BASHH. It asks about your place. Positionality let's people know how the place you occupy and your intersections influence your work. In academic spaces, this means research. But as an herbalist, it means how you relate to the plants. How you relate to your clients and community. How you share information. What about your place guides the...

You Coming?

Infrequent Newsletter July 12, 2026 Enrollment has been enrolling at BASHH. And you can still join us. What a time. I would be a lie if I said that this has been an easy journey. Between nonstop meetings, doing the marketing, admin, and enrolling students, working freelance and a part time job...it has been exhausting. But is every second of it worth each time an herbalist calls BASHH home? ABSOLUTELY. A few seats have opened up in the Clinical program and Pre-Clinical has some too. I dare...

3 More Spots Left.

Infrequent Newsletter July 3, 2026 Ya'll showed up and out at our Info Session! Hey Reader! I am so grateful to everyone who was able to make it, ask questions, affirm their alignment with the school, etc. Transmute/Ether is almost full. Can I be honest with you? I thought Tria Prima would reach capacity first. There are so few Black clinicians that I thought no one was interested. Turns out, we just need a space for us to engage in this work. I'm over the moon to be wrong. No cohort at BASHH...
